AGLC

The Association of Greek Leasing Companies (AGLC) is a non-profit legal entity founded in 1990. Its nature is not commercial and it is not intended for financial activity or profit. The Association is a member of “Leaseurope“, the European Federation of Leasing Company Associations.

PURPOSE

The Association’s objectives are the dissemination, promotion, expansion and development of financial leasing in Greece, the review, consideration, and resolution of matters of interest to its members as well as the collective representation of its members both in Greece and in other countries.

To fulfil its objectives, the Association:

(a) Informs its members of all matters regarding leasing.

(b) Reviews and examines the legal provisions (laws, decrees, ministerial decisions, decisions of monetary authorities) concerning leasing as well as their implications on Greek leasing industry and its members.

(c) Submits to the state authorities well-subtantiated proposals aimed at improving the functioning of financial leasing in Greece and enhancing the effective attainment of its goals.

(d) Cooperates with the authorities on any matter related directly or indirectly to financial leasing.

(e) Establishes uniformity in the rules and procedures governing the operation of financial leasing, its continuous modernization, the study of international practice and its adaptation to Greek standards.

(f) Organises workshops, seminars, conferences and other events for the purpose of informing interested parties and promoting financial leasing.

(g) Represents its members in Greece and in other countries in discussions concerning matters that refer directly or indirectly to financial leasing.

(h) Participates in international leasing associations or organizations.

BODY

The Body of the Association is comprised of the:

MEMBERS

All financial leasing companies operating or to be established in Greece in accordance with the Greek Law 1665/86 may become members of the AGLC.

Membership status is acquired by decision of the Steering Committee taken following the submission of an application by the interested company.

The Association of Greek Leasing Companies consists of the following 9 members:
